Darlene Cameron

Darlene Cameron was born in Brooklyn, raised in Queens, and now lives in Manhattan. She began her career as a special education teacher in the Bronx, teaching students in grades 3–5, before serving as an elementary school principal with NYC Public Schools for 17 years. Two years ago, she joined District 13, where she continues to lead with a focus on instructional excellence and school community partnerships. Darlene is a dedicated advocate for equity, diversity, and social justice, committed to ensuring that every child has access to high-quality educational opportunities.
