Meghan Dunn began her career in education as a first-grade teacher in District 16, located in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. She had the unique opportunity to "loop" with her students, teaching the same group from 1st through 5th grade—an experience she considers a profound honor. Meghan went on to become the founding principal of the Riverdale Avenue Community School, a 3K–5th grade school in Brownsville, Brooklyn. In March 2020, Meghan joined District 13 as the Deputy Superintendent, continuing her commitment to equity, excellence, and community-centered leadership. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Art History from The George Washington University, and a Master’s in Education from Bank Street College of Education. Meghan is a 2016 Cahn Fellow for Distinguished Principals and a proud recipient of the Bank Street College Alumni Award – Graduate of Distinction.

Darlene Cameron was born in Brooklyn, raised in Queens, and now lives in Manhattan. She began her career as a special education teacher in the Bronx, teaching students in grades 3–5, before serving as an elementary school principal with NYC Public Schools for 17 years. Two years ago, she joined District 13, where she continues to lead with a focus on instructional excellence and school community partnerships. Darlene is a dedicated advocate for equity, diversity, and social justice, committed to ensuring that every child has access to high-quality educational opportunities.

Lisa Pilaski joined District 13 as Executive Director of School Support and Operations in 2022. With more than 25 years in public education, she brings deep experience across teaching, professional development, leadership coaching, strategic planning, educational research, and district reform. Lisa is committed to making sure the school communities she supports have the answers and resources they need, when they need them—so that every D13 school is a vibrant, inclusive environment where students are affirmed and empowered to achieve at high levels. She is also a proud D13 parent.

Antonio Arocho's career in education spans over 23 years in the NYCDOE. He has been a school principal, COVID Regional Enrichment Center Supervisor, assistant principal, STEM instructional coach, staff developer, and high school Biology and General science teacher to English Language Learners and he was also the Project Manager for the Angelo Del Toro - Puerto Rican/ Hispanic Youth Leadership Program. He mentored the Aspira of New York Leadership development program at a New York City High School. Antonio Arocho has served the children in all five boroughs of New York throughout his career. As a School District Administrator, he collaborates with other educational leaders to help improve the learning and teaching environments for students. He supports schools in their annual and ongoing strategic planning, and progress monitoring to make gains and meet student achievement benchmarks. As a testament to his dedication, and leadership, he earned a Fulbright Fellowship for Award Winning Principals in 2006 to Brazil. His favorite hobbies include traveling, reading about history, watching Marvel and DC Superhero movies with his children, spending time with his family, fishing, learning about nutrition, health, wellness, and exercise.

Jazmine Curmon serves as the Family Support Coordinator for District 13, bringing over 16 years of experience working with students and families across New York City. Her background includes work in public schools and community-based organizations, where she’s built strong relationships and supported youth from a wide range of neighborhoods and backgrounds. Jazmine is deeply committed to helping families navigate the school system, access resources, and feel empowered in their child’s educational journey. She’s known for her positive energy, clear communication, and dedication to creating meaningful connections between schools and communities. Whether it’s through family engagement events, one-on-one support, or district-wide initiatives, Jazmine works tirelessly to ensure every family feels seen, heard, and supported.

Kelly began her career nearly 28 years ago as an ELA teacher at a transfer school in Brooklyn. It was here that she learned that joy was as integral to learning as authentic assessments, interdisciplinary units, and collaborative & restorative practices. She was the founding principal of the UA Institute of Math and Science, a 6th - 12th grade girls’ public school in Brooklyn. After leaving her school, Kelly worked with Central to lead leadership teams through cross-district collaborative inquiry cycles centered on disrupting disproportionate outcomes for students of color. Kelly holds a BA from Clark University and a MA from NYU.

After holding both creative and administrative jobs in the private and public sector, I joined the team of Community School District 13 where I provide support and resources to parents, staff and the community for the purpose of supporting student achievement. I get to support district initiatives and engage the community around the topic of equity and access. A former parent leader and workshop facilitator, I bring a range of experience to support building capacity and empowering families to be partners with our schools.

Marian Burnbaum has been an Educational Administrator with Community District 13 since 2014. She also served as an Achievement Coach in Network 534, a Coordinator of Law and Public Service and proud Social Studies Teacher and Debate Coach at Washington Irving High School. In her prior life, Marian was a university administrator and practicing attorney in New York City. Marian works with school leaders and teachers to improve pedagogy across the district. Her interests include the protection and expansion of human rights and appreciation and participation in the arts--both performance and visual.

Mayra De Peña is a NYS licensed psychotherapist and school social worker who joined the NYC Public Schools in February of 2022 after serving 15 years as a Child Protective Specialist for NYC Children. She enjoys working with families to help them identify their own strengths and increase their resilience towards challenging situations. Mayra prioritizes building trusting relationships with students and their caregivers to support them in creating spaces where empathy meets courageous conversations. She has been a member of the District 13 Team since September 2022 and has supported schools with cultivating a compassionate and responsive school community.

Sara Shin is the ELA Implementation Specialist focusing on grades K - 5. She joined the New York City Public Schools in 2006 as a Teaching Fellow after a career in publishing. During her tenure with NYCPS she has taught Spanish and English Language Arts and worked as an Assistant Principal and Literacy Coach. When she is not engrossed in a book, she and her husband enjoy sailing.

Tracey Scronic leads D13 International Baccalaureate teaching, learning, and meaningful progress monitoring for all students. She also directs our Teacher Residency Program, which mentors Bank Street graduate education students joining our district. Tracey has deep instructional and leadership experience, including positions as Dual Language Classroom Teacher, Instructional Coach, Middle School Building Leader, and Central-based Instructional Lead. She is a certified IB Workshop Facilitator, helping D13 “pay forward” support to the International Baccalaureate global community. She is also Mom to two D13 graduates; in that capacity she has served as a vocal parent volunteer on PTAs and SLTs along the way.

Vito Di Leo Jr. joined Community School District 13 as an Instructional Lead for Math in August 2022. Previously, he was an Instructional Lead at the Brooklyn North Borough Office and an Achievement Coach with Children’s First Network 208 where he provided K to 8/Algebra I Math instructional support. Vito began his career teaching math at Middle School 88 where he then became the school math coach and Assistant Principal. Vito holds a Master of Arts in Mathematics Education and an Advanced Certificate in Administration and Supervision from The City College of New York, a Bachelor of the Arts in Computerized Design and Animated Graphics, a Bachelor of Technology in Aeronautical Engineering Technology – Manufacturing and an Associate of Applied Science in Aeronautical Engineering Technology – Design from the College of Aeronautics (currently Vaughn College). Vito is happily married to his wife Nancy for over twenty years and is the father of two wonderful daughters, Amanda and Emma. He is an avid sports fan (New York Mets!), loves anything MCU/Marvel, is an admitted “foodie” and enjoys “antiquing” when on vacation with his family.
