ELA

Goal: Implementation of a coherent district wide instructional program in literacy, including Strategic Instructional Periods for all students in 3rd - 8th grade

All schools implement El Education as their core literacy program, beginning in September 2024.
K - 2 curriculum includes the use of a phonics curriculum (FUNdations) AND a phonemic awareness curriculum (Heggerty).
All students in 3rd - 8th grade participate in a Strategic Intervention Period (SIP) at least 3x a week for 30 minutes.

Restorative Justice

Goal: Shared understanding and implementation of Restorative Justice practices across all D13 schools.

All schools send teachers to Tier 1 Training of Restorative Justice practices, will a plan to provide training to all teachers by June 2028.
Development of school wide practices aligned to the Restorative Justice principles.
Community building rituals are included into the fabric of the school.

Math

Goal: Use of the District 13 Assessment in Mathematics (AIM) to support impactful professional learning aligned to math content strategies.

All middle schools implement Illustrative Math (IM)
Schools implement the D13 AIM for students in grades 3 -8, 3x a year
