Ethan Newlin is the Office of Policy and Evaluation Lead for District 13. Before joining D13, Ethan worked at the Brooklyn North NYCDOE Borough Office leading a team supporting over 230 schools across the borough. Ethan started his career in District 6 as an English teacher in Washington Heights. Ethan was a teacher leader at the Washington Heights Expeditionary Learning School (WHEELS) and was nominated for the R. Gaynor McGown Excellence in Teaching Award by New York City Outward Bound. When he isn’t supporting schools, Ethan enjoys hiking, traveling, playing with his dog Otto, and coding.
